What determines whether you're a diabetic? The answer is almost too simple, but the answer is in your blood. Specifically - your blood sugar number / MGDL.  Kind of a kick in the face, isn't it?  No, there isn't some special test or some special enzyme that determines whether or not you're a Diabetic.  There is no special screening.  It's sad to say, but the only thing that determines your condition is your blood sugar / MGDL.  Such a complicated disease, and you're diagnosed in such a simple manner. It's just the way it is.  Diabetes won't kill you - a life of above average blood sugar / MGDL numbers will do that. Our blood sugar number is in a constant flux of change. We must do everything in our power to stay within a healthy blood sugar range.

You can enter in your blood sugar manually, or import data from an Accu-check device. Most people will want to manually enter in blood sugar data. If you're new, you would probably want to dump old data from your glucose meter into the program (just to have something to start off with). Beyond that, manual entry offers the most control. You'll have all sorts of options, such as your current mood, stress level, temperature, event type, and optional notes. Once you have this information recorded, you'll be able to access your blood sugar averages, highs, lows, and other important data. After all, the entire point of this software application is for you to understand your blood sugar number.
